Job description
The Cybersecurity and Telecommunications Research Lab (CTRL) is interested in hiring up to two (2) research scientists with computer science or telecommunications background, to join our team and work in specific national and/or European funded and other R&D projects related to cybersecurity.
Employment terms
Positions will be filled with either a part-time or full-time employment contract for a fixed-term period. Priority will be given to interested full-time employment applicants, depending on the project type and can be renewed depending on performance and projects’ needs. Applicants must reside in Cyprus. Insurance is provided through the national health system. A 13th month’s salary is not provided. The gross annual salary for the advertised position will depend based on qualification and prior experience.
Role
The scientist, depending on his/her background, will work with the CTRL team on the following activities: Design, development and maintenance of cybersecurity platforms, development of curricula and educational material, usage of Cyber Ranges, prepare research proposals, contribute to project deliverables and research projects.
Requirements and qualifications
- Preference for a BSc, MSc, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity or other related fields
- Understanding of cybersecurity and networking principles
- Experience in implementing information systems
- Experience in application development
- Written and oral communication skills in English language
