The Open University of Cyprus (OUC) invites applications for one (1) part-time Research Associate to support the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of activities under Work Package 4 (WP4) of the OpenEU project.
The objective of WP4 is to establish, nurture and scale an Inclusive and Collaborative Living Lab that brings together researchers and societal and industrial stakeholders. The Living Lab will co-create digitally enabled and AI-powered educational innovations aligned with the project’s thematic priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions-Democracy and European Values), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure-Digital Transformation), while contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting inclusive, learner-centred practices that support sustainable development, resilience and lifelong learning.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, European Studies, Project Management, or another relevant field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate in an international project environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to manage, structure, and interpret data.
- Experience with research tasks, documentation, or project-based work.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines within defined timelines.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Considered an asset)
- Experience in EU-funded programmes.
- Experience with project management tools, such as MS Teams, SharePoint and or Asana.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic communication plans managing high impact events and enhancing visibility through targeted stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to prepare reports, policy texts, strategic documents, and guidelines, with experience in programme implementation, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of multilingualism, inclusion, internationalisation, or related areas.
