Σε θεματική ενότητα του διεθνούς επιστημονικού περιοδικού «Frontiers in Psychology» (Impact Factor 2.9, Q1, and Scopus CiteScore 6.3), θα συμμετέχει ως επιστημονικός επιμελητής, ο Δρ. Κωνσταντίνος Μαστροθανάσης, Συνεργαζόμενο Εκπαιδευτικό Προσωπικό στο Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών «Θεατρικές Σπουδές» του Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου (ΑΠΚΥ). Η συμμετοχή του εντάσσεται στο πλαίσιο της ακαδημαϊκής και ερευνητικής δραστηριότητας του Πανεπιστημίου και ενδυναμώνει περαιτέρω τη διεθνή του παρουσία στον χώρο της ψυχολογικής και παιδαγωγικής έρευνας.
Η θεματική ενότητα με τίτλο «Participatory and Creative Approaches to Enhancing Human Performance across Educational, Psychosocial, Health, Community, and Workplace Contexts», εστιάζει στη μελέτη συμμετοχικών, δημιουργικών και βασισμένων στις τέχνες προσεγγίσεων για την κατανόηση και ενίσχυση της ανθρώπινης απόδοσης σε εκπαιδευτικά, ψυχοκοινωνικά, υγειονομικά, κοινοτικά και εργασιακά περιβάλλοντα. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό εξετάζονται ζητήματα ανάπτυξης δεξιοτήτων, ψυχολογικών και σωματικών μηχανισμών της απόδοσης, ευεξίας και βιωσιμότητας της ανθρώπινης λειτουργικότητας, καθώς και μεθοδολογικές προσεγγίσεις αξιολόγησης και τεκμηρίωσης παρεμβάσεων, χωρίς να εξαντλείται στα ανωτέρω. Το εγχείρημα εντάσσεται στο ευρύτερο πεδίο της Επιστήμης της Απόδοσης και διασυνδέει ερευνητικές κατευθύνσεις από την ψυχολογία, την παιδαγωγική, τις παραστατικές τέχνες, την υγεία, τις οργανωσιακές σπουδές και τα κοινοτικά πλαίσια δράσης, ενισχύοντας τη διεπιστημονική έρευνα και τη συστηματική σύνδεση θεωρητικών προσεγγίσεων με εφαρμοσμένες πρακτικές.
Στο πλαίσιο της θεματικής ενότητας, απευθύνεται ανοιχτή πρόσκληση προς ερευνητές και ενδιαφερόμενους από συναφή επιστημονικά πεδία, να υποβάλουν επιστημονικές εργασίες που συμβάλλουν στην κατανόηση και ενίσχυση της ανθρώπινης απόδοσης μέσω συμμετοχικών και δημιουργικών προσεγγίσεων.
Την ενότητα συντονίζει διεθνής ομάδα επιστημόνων, ως συν-Επιστημονικές Επιμελήτριες, που αποτελείται από τις Μαρία Κλαδάκη (Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου), Κατερίνα Βάσιου (Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης και Συνεργαζόμενο Εκπαιδευτικό Προσωπικό του Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου) και Ελένη Παπούλη (Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Αττικής).

Dr. Konstantinos Mastrothanasis, an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Postgraduate Programme “Theatre Studies” at the Open University of Cyprus (OUC), will participate as Scientific Editor in a thematic section of the international scientific journal “Frontiers in Psychology “(Impact Factor 2.9, Q1, and Scopus CiteScore 6.3). His participation forms part of the University’s academic and research activities and further strengthens its international presence in the field of psychological and educational research.
The Research Topic, entitled “Participatory and Creative Approaches to Enhancing Human Performance across Educational, Psychosocial, Health, Community, and Workplace Contexts”, focuses on the study of participatory, creative, and arts-based approaches to understanding and enhancing human performance in educational, psychosocial, health, community, and workplace settings. Within this framework, issues related to skill development, psychological and physiological mechanisms of performance, wellbeing and sustainability of human functioning, as well as methodological approaches to the evaluation and documentation of interventions are examined, without being limited to these areas. The initiative is situated within the broader field of Performance Science and connects research directions from psychology, pedagogy, the performing arts, health, organizational studies, and community-based contexts, strengthening interdisciplinary research and the systematic connection between theoretical approaches and applied practices.
Within the framework of this Research Topic, an open call is addressed to researchers and interested scholars from related scientific fields to submit scientific contributions that contribute to the understanding and enhancement of human performance through participatory and creative approaches.
The Research Topic is coordinated by an international team of academics, specifically Maria Kladaki (University of the Aegean), Katerina Vasiou (University of Crete and Adjunct Teaching Staff at the Open University of Cyprus), and Eleni Papouli (University of West Attica), who participate as Co-Scientific Editors of the Research Topic.
