Admission requirements for the Joint Master’s Program in International Shipping Management include holding a bachelor’s degree from a recognised universities or higher education institution.
- Candidates may apply to the programme if they hold such a degree at the time of registration.
- Applicants who have fulfilled all academic obligations for their bachelor’s degree and are awaiting the official award of the degree are also eligible to apply.
Applications should be submitted according to the academic calendar of the Open University of Cyprus. The Joint Master’s programme accepts graduates from a variety of academic backgrounds, with the primary admission requirement being a bachelor’s degree from a recognised higher education institution, as stated above.
For admission to the programme:
- Applicants are advised to have a very good command of the English language which is a requirement, as both the instructional materials and language of instruction are in English. Applicants should possess an English language certificate equivalent to an IELTS minimum overall score of 5.5, or CEFR level B2 or above. - Adequate computer literacy and skills to meet the program's educational requirements, including proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and internet use.
- Access to a computer with an internet connection, headphones, and a microphone is also necessary, as students will actively participate in teleconference meetings.

STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAMME
To receive the Msc students must successfully complete the academic requirements of
- seven (7) semester-long modules and a Master Thesis (Dissertation).
