Our Mission
The mission of the OUC Library is the creation and support of a reliable information environment through the application of the principles of distance education. Further, the Library aims to distinguish itself in the scientific information area by emphasizing research, learning, culture and social contribution.
Our Vision
The vision of the OUC Library is to become a centre of production and dissemination of knowledge through distance education. At the same time, the library seeks to explore and adopt the best dissemination approaches for global scientific knowledge, learning and research at the Open University of Cyprus.
Our Values
- The open access to knowledge: We provide our users with access to information sources by adopting methods that are based on the principles of open and distance education.
- The evolution and progress of information science through the integration of technological means to distance education.
- The strengthening of cooperation and the cultivation of culture: Support of each group effort for continuous development and the strengthening of culture by implementing cooperation projects that contribute to the dissemination of knowledge.
