The “ANTIbodies to MISinformation” and the “Co-creating Media Literate Youth” teams, of which the Open University of Cyprus (OUC) – Lab of Educational Technology – is a proud member, warmly invite you to join a very special event, marking the successful completion of the projects on Misinformation and Media Education. The event entitled “Fighting MisInformation: Joint actions by and for young people in Cyprus will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Cyprus University of Technology from 10:00 until 15:00. It is open to the public and targets primarily all students aged 12 and above, teenagers and adult learners, youth workers, youth organisations, journalists, and various educational stakeholders including teachers and parents.

The participants will actively take part in workshops and discussions, will be informed about the lessons learnt and celebrate the achievements of the “Antibodies in Misinformation” and “Co-creating Media Literate Youth” projects. Both projects were promoted and implemented by the Open University of Cyprus and the Cyprus Youth Council and funded by the US Embassy through the Cyprus University of Technology in the framework of the European Horizon 2020 “Co-Inform Project”, in collaboration with the Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth.

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the event respects all protocol and official health and safety guidelines. Hence, the participation is by free registration (here), and it is only granted to people aged 12 and above who are vaccinated with 2 doses or recovered from coronavirus in the last six months.
