The BEC123 module (Human Resource Management) deals with the full range of human resource management topics. Human resource management is the process of acquiring, training, appraising, and compensating employees. The purpose of this module is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the modern activities concerning the management of employees, explore the main human resource functions, and apply the different human resource methods available. Specifically, the module objectives are to provide students with the concepts and techniques they’ll need to perform the “personnel” aspects of management, including conducting job analyses, planning labour needs and recruiting job candidates, selecting job candidates, orienting and training new employees, managing wages and salaries, appraising performance, training employees, and developing managers.
