This module is the first compulsory unit in the program. It provides an overview of the key scientific concepts and theories, surrounding why and how people interact with and through technology. Specifically, it examines theories that covers both the cognitive and social aspects of interaction. Special attention is given to developing the abilities to analyze, design and evaluate the quality of interaction between people and technology. Thus, it also provides students with an overview of the role of interaction design, its process and methods. The module concludes with a unit on current topics and developments in the area, including ubiquitous computing and extended reality.
