OPEN UNIVERSITY OF CYPRUS SCHOLARSHIPS

The Open University of Cyprus has created a policy to grant scholarships to expatriate Cypriots, children of enclaved persons, Archbishopric and strategic partners. Scholarships are also granted to third-country nationals in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth.

The following sections provide information for new students on how to apply for scholarships. 

 

EXTERNAL

The Open University of Cyprus grants scholarships to the following organisations:

Category Description Certificates

Orthodox Archbishopric of Kenya  (Orthodox Teachers College of Kenya)

 

OUC grants one (1) full scholarship to OAK at the English programmes of study offered entirely by the OUC, to a beneficiary selected by OAK.                                        
Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC)

Scholarships are granted to CyBC’s employees(new entrants), two (2)  full and two (2) partial scholarships (50%)  for Undergraduate Programmes of study, as well as two (2) full scholarships for Postgraduate Programmes (excluding jointed programmes of study).  

Criteria:

1.CyBC employees: Permanent or open-ended contracts and

2. Relevance of programme to job duties: Full or partial

SOCIO ECONOMIC CRITERIA (if applied)

  • Single Parent
  • Student must have four or more children
  • Orphan (benefit receiver)

Certificate from CyBC and other relevant certificates

PA.SY.D.Y

Two (2) full scholarships and two (2) partial scholarships (50% of the total tuition fees)  per academic year are granted to members of PA.SY.D.Y for attending postgraduate programmes of Study offered completely by OUC.

New entrant students that wish to claim a scholarship should meet the following Academic and Socio-economic criteria:​

ACADEMIC CRITERIA

  •   Bachelor Degree Grade (for master students)

SOCIO ECONOMIC CRITERIA

 At least one or more from the following:

  •   Single Parent*
  •   Student must have four or more children*
  •   Orphan (benefit receiver)*

*based on Cyprus regulations

The scholarship that is given concern all student's studies duration, provided that he /  she achieves a success grade in all the Module he / she attends in his / her programme of study
Recent certificates & verification that they are members of PA.SY.D.Y
S.E.K.

Two (2) partial scholarships (50% of the total tuition fees)  per academic year are granted to members of S.E.K for attending postgraduate programmes of Study offered completely by OUC.

New entrant students that wish to claim a scholarship should meet the following Academic and Socio-economic criteria:​

Civil of Kyrgyz, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan & Indonesian

One (1) full scholarship for the academic year 2024-25 is granted to new entrant student.
