New Distance Learning Undergraduate Programme in Law

The new distance learning Undergraduate (BA) Programme in Law of the Open University of Cyprus (OUC) is offered for the first time in the academic year 2023/24, and it is taught in Greek. The Law Degree is accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA), and covers the subjects of the exams of the Legal Council for trainee advocates (bar exams).

The BA ‘Law’ degree aims to familiarise the students with the most important concepts and principles of the Cypriot legal system, within the broader environment of International Law and the Law of the European Union. Graduates of the BA 'Law' degree acquire knowledge and practical skills needed to be employed in fields relevant to the legal profession in private and public organisations.

The BA degree in Law carries 240 ECTS credits. Students need to successfully attend nineteen (19) Compulsory Modules and choose five (5) of the six (6) Elective Modules. The total administration cost of the BA programme is €14.400, i.e. €600 per Module. Discounts (ranging from 10% up to 100%) are available from the University to eligible students, such as people with disabilities, single parents, individuals with unemployment status, etc.
