Erasmus+ Incoming Mobility Sessions: Leadership in Public Health and Healthcare Systems [09-13/05/2022]

The Open University of Cyprus (OUC) and the Postgraduate Programme "Healthcare Management" have the honor to host Dr Rami Abdullah Saadeh of the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine of the Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan), who is visiting OUC in the context of the Erasmus+ International Mobility Programme. Dr. Saadeh will be giving five public lectures from May 9 to May 13, 2022, which are of interest to students and graduates of Healthcare Management, Applied Health Informatics, healthcare professionals, researchers, as well as academics in healthcare related fields. The last two lectures, i.e. “Leadership in public health management and public health crises” on May 12, and“Telehealth and telemedicine in healthcare delivery”, will be hybrid, and for face-to-face attendance the location is the OUC’s main building in Nicosia (4th floor conference room, 33 Yiannou Kranidioti Avenue, 2220 Latsia, Nicosia).

Guest speaker’s short bio:

Dr. Rami Saadeh is an Assistant Professor at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) . Rami earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology in Jordan, a Master of Science degree in Public Health (MSPH) from Tulane University, USA and completed his academic studies with a PhD in Environmental Health and Epidemiology from Indiana University, USA. He also completed a residency program in dental public health from the University of Texas Health at San Antonio, USA. His research focuses on environmental and social disparities among communities, with special emphasis on vulnerable groups such children, women, elderly, and populations with low socioeconomic status.
