The module ΔΕΕ 211 «Environmental Law» is one of the core modules that students need to undertake in order to complete the master program of studies in “European Law”. The goal of this module is to provide students with the tools and concepts necessary to analyse and understand the legal foundations and functioning of environmental protection in the European Union.
Initially this module aims at familiarising students with the historical background of environmental protection in the European Union, the legal basis for environmental policy as well as its fundamental principles and objectives. At a later stage this module will introduce students to substantive environmental law topics such as environmental liability, environmental information, water and air protection and waste management. Lastly this module will focus on the relationship of European Union environmental law with the issues of energy and internal market as well as on the issue of correct implementation – application of European Union environmental law at national level.

Module ΔΕΕ 121 ‘Judicial Protection in the European Union’ is the third module of the mandatory curriculum of the programme of study ‘European Union Law’. The goal of the module is to familiarise students with the ways through which one can protect his rights under EU law against infringements emanating from national and EU authorities.
The module begins with the study of the structure and composition of the Court of Justice of the EU. It also considers the jurisdiction of the Court, the General Court and the Civil Service Tribunal. Next the judicial and extra-judicial mechanisms of protection of EU rights against infringements by EU authorities are examined. More precisely, issued are discussed pertaining to the action for annulment, the objection of illegality, the action for failure to act, the preliminary ruling, the action for damages and the European Ombudsman. Then the study directed towards the judicial and extra-judicial mechanisms of protection of EU rights against infringements by national authorities. In particular issues are addressed in relation to the European Commission's action against a Member State, the preliminary ruling, the action for damages, the national ombudsman and the service of SOLVIT. The module concludes with analysis of forms of temporary legal protection at EU level and appeals against decisions of the particular formations of the Court of Justice of the EU. The above is crucial in acquiring a holistic picture of the judicial and extra-judicial means of EU rights protection at EU and National level.

ΔΕΕ112, “Internal Market Law” is the second Module in the core of the Programme of Study “Law of the European Union”. The objective of the Module is the understanding of the foundations and the framework of the internal market of the EU.
This Module will focus on the legal aspects of the internal market of the EU. The objective of the Module is the familiarization of the student with the historical development of the internal market, the legal foundations of the functioning of the internal market and the creation of the European space of free movement, fundamental freedoms and the issues that arise from the exercise and the limitations from the specific segments of the internal market, as well as certain policies of the EU that relate to the internal market. Through the study of these elements, the significance of the internal market, as one of the foremost foundations of the EU edifice, will become clear. The thorough study of this Module is a prerequisite for the student to proceed to the other Modules that relate to the more specific legal niches of EU Law.

Module ΔΕΕ111 “Institutional Law of the European Union” is the first module of the mandatory curriculum of the programme of study «European Union Law». The goal of the module is to understand the institutional structure of the European Union and the principles which govern it.
The module begins with the study of the initial idea for the creation of the European Union and analyses the process of European integration until today. It also considers the mutual relationship between the European Union and its Member States, and the obligations and rights that flow from it. Then the issue of EU powers is investigated and the way in which they are carried out both within the EU territory (internal dimension) and internationally (external dimension). Following that the composition, function and powers of key EU institutions are analysed, namely the European Council, the Council of the European Union, the European Parliament, the European Commission and the European Court of Justice. In addition, extensive reference is made to the sources of EU law (primary and secondary EU law) and the law making process. Finally, special emphasis is given to examining the two fundamental features of Union law, namely direct effect and supremacy.

Module Purpose and Objectives
The main purpose of this module is to familiarize students with the stages of conducting qualitative educational research. Also, students will be able to provide a critical analysis and interpretation of research findings based on the qualitative approach in the field of education.
Module Content
In this module, students will study the basic principles of qualitative educational research. Specifically, students will study the qualitative research phases and design (research questions etc.). Also, students will learn the basic qualitative methodological approaches (ethnographic research, case study research, action research, narrative research, grounded theory), as well as the methods of collecting qualitative data. They will also learn the qualitative data analysis processes in order to present concrete conclusions.
