In this Thematic Unit, students will explore the concept of Police Ethics, in order to reveal the relationship of Ethics as a branch of Philosophy with Legal Science but also with the Security and Armed Forces. The role of the police officer is multifaceted. The police officer is called upon to act with precision, integrity, in accordance with the Constitution and the laws, with discipline, in favour of society as a whole. The internal will and decision of the police officer is based on reason. As a leader but also as a fellow citizen, he bears responsibility for his decision-making, facing moral dilemmas, but without prejudice to his fellow man, following a code of honour, putting himself in favour of the society as a whole and following in practice and with precision the principles of his/her organization.
