The Open University of Cyprus (OUC) and the European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today, Monday 6 July 2026, aimed at jointly developing initiatives for the design, development and delivery of specialised short-duration, high-level training programmes addressed to the general public. The framework of cooperation was signed by the Vice-Rector of the OUC, Professor Konstantinos Leonidou, and the Chief Executive Officer of the EIMF, Mr Marios Siathas.

The Vice-Rector of the Open University of Cyprus, Professor Leonidou, stated: "The cooperation between the OUC and the European Institute of Management and Finance forms part of our strategy to strengthen the University's outward-facing profile and expand its collaborations with organisations and institutions, with the aim of connecting academic knowledge with the needs of the modern market. Through this Memorandum of Cooperation, we are creating a framework that enhances the acquisition of valuable knowledge and practical skills for our students. I am confident that this partnership will be constructive and productive, contributing to a mutually beneficial cooperation between the OUC and the EIMF."

The Chief Executive Officer of the EIMF, Mr Siathas, noted: "The signing of this Memorandum with such a distinguished institution as the Open University of Cyprus represents an important partnership for our organisation. We aim for a mutually beneficial cooperation, building a meaningful bridge that will promote knowledge and the acquisition or upgrading of the skills required by the real economy's workforce, and we shall work systematically towards this goal."

Also present at the signing of the Memorandum, on behalf of the OUC, were: the Head of the Human Resources Department, Mrs Chrysanthi Danou; the Senior Officer of the Marketing, Communication and Internationalisation Department, Mr Tasos Anastasiou; and the Senior Officer of the Student Experience Department, Mrs Maria Zanti, along with other OUC staff members. On behalf of the EIMF: the Programme Development Officer, Mr Panayiotis Marinou; the Marketing Officer, Ms Ioanna Vryoni; and the Operations Officer, Mrs Christina Siati.
