An extension until 22 June 2023 is given to the deadline of the online submission of applications for admission/enrolment to the Open University of Cyprus (OUC) for the fall semester of the academic year 2023-2024. OUC is public, innovative and digital University, specialized in open and distance education, which supports the educational needs of all those who seek flexibility in their studies without the limitations of conventional education. The three OUC Faculties cover fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pure and Applied Sciences and Economics and Management, and offer five (5) Undergraduate and 22 Postgraduate Study Programmes in cutting-edge fields, with international recognition, that meet the needs of society and the labor market. In the context of Lifelong Learning, all the Modules (Thematic Units) of the Study Programmes are also offered as independent/ autonomous courses, so that each interested person can enrol without being required to study the full programme.
The Open University of Cyprus, with 20 years of specialization in distance education, effectively utilizes educational technologies to allow students to study from their personal space, at their own pace of learning, in the time they can dedicate to their studies due to their various other obligations. The state-of-the-art E-Learning Platform eClass, which is the primary educational medium, supports online teaching and learning applications and incorporates synchronous and asynchronous communication and collaboration tools. Physical presence is not required at any stage of their studies, and the final examinations are also conducted online by electronic means and not in person at exam centers. The OUC keeps the costs of study very affordable, and supports groups of students with fewer opportunities, such as the unemployed, people with special needs and/or large families, single-parents, etc., by providing significant tuition reductions (from 10% to a full exemption).
