Aiming to upgrade national capacities in cybersecurity and to protect information and relevant systems of critical infrastructures, the Open University of Cyprus in collaboration with the Digital Security Authority of the Republic of Cyprus, are implementing a new research project titled “Cyber Sensors for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Large Scale Cyber Range Training Environment - CY SENTINEL”. More specifically, the project is implemented by the Cybersecurity and Telecommunications Research Lab of the Open University of Cyprus, led by Professor Stavros Stavrou.
The aim of the project “CY SENTINEL” is to ensure the security of critical Infrastructure’s ICT systems, from the growing cyber threats, with the development of intelligent systems, sensors and procedures, capable to provide effective protection against cyber threats. The project also delivers a Cyber Range platform, capable to provide extensive cybersecurity training in information systems and networks.
