Call for papers for the 7th International Conference “Adult Educators in Time of Crisis”

The Open University of Cyprus (OUC), the postgraduate programme in “Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning”  and the Research Network for Adult Educators, Trainers and their Professionalisation (ReNAdET) of the ESREA (European Society for Research on the Education of Adults), co-organize the 7th International Conference “Adult Educators in Time of Crisis: Well-Being, Changes in Identity and Professional Practice in European Adult Education”. The Conference will be held online on October 29, 2021 and aims to bring together researchers, scholars,and practitioners in the fields of adult education and vocational education and training.

Interested contributors are invited to submit their papers for presentation until July 1, 2021 (NEW DEADLINE), based on the Call for Papers, here.

Under the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the topics to be discussed at the Conference are mainly focused on: a) the extent that the current health crisis has affected the status, roles and practices of adult education professionals, b) the place of the adult education in responding to the massive reorganization of the European workforce, c) the state the universities and adult education centres will be found after the pandemic, d) the increase of the online courses offered and the necessity for digital literacy skills as part of the adult learning education, e) the response and reaction of the adult educators to the current situation, f) the protection of freelancers and independent training specialists and, last but not least, g) the impact of the crisis on different service modalities.
