I received a Ph.D. degree from the Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany, in the area of information integration. During my Ph.D. studies I was working at the L3S Research Center in Hannover, under the supervision of Prof. Wolfgang Nejdl. I have obtained an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Saarland University and the Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik (MPI), an M.Sc. degree in Advanced Information Technologies and a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus.
As of September 2016, I am a lecturer at the Open University of Cyprus. Before this, I was a research collaborator at the SoftNet Lab, at the Technical University of Crete in Greece. I also worked as adjunct faculty at the Open University of Cyprus and as an independent expert for the European Commission, evaluating research proposals and ongoing projects.
My primary research interests are: analytics for retrieving statistical information (without performing complete integration); query processing over graphs with volatile data or uncertainties; using graphical models for querying databases with duplicated data; and management of large-scale heterogeneous datasets with correlations and uncertainty.
